Wild Isles
Primetime BBC One landmark series that celebrates the drama and beauty of the natural world on our own doorstep. In this epic six-part series, Sir David Attenborough comes home to explore the wild isles of Britain and Ireland, revealing their diverse range of habitats, landscapes and native species.

Working in collaboration with the world renowned Silverback Films, we created the main title sequence, visual effects sequences and a visual identity for the series that could be applied to all related output, ensuring strong recognition between content across all platforms.

Creating a suitably subtle and refined visual identity for application across all series related output beyond the television broadcast, including social media, streaming platforms, publications, literature for outreach schemes and marketing campaigns. The essential elements were designed for ease of application by internal creative departments at numerous associated agencies and production partners, ensuring a cohesive identity on all communication platforms.

Visual Effects Sequences
We were tasked with creating an underground scene to show the way plants and trees use mycelium to communicate and transport nutrients to each other for the Woodlands episode. We gathered real world reference of tree roots, soil textures, 3D scans of leaves and forest floors so our 3D artists could model an underground cavernous structure. The result felt like the camera crew had hollowed out the forest floor and sent a camera down there!
