The BRIT Awards 2023
Adopting a cyberpunk aesthetic allowed the architectural forms of the set to become a vibrant cityscape. Marrying both a strong visual language and featuring adaptations of this years unique award designed by artist Slawn.
The bold future facing cityscape became a cohesive through line across the show, from the broadcast elements to the complex stage surfaces.
In order to create visual diversity, we designed numerous animated states to populate the LED surfaces. This involved alternating between billboard-like designs, holograms, mechanical elements and architectural features. Colour theory unified the states from our chosen colour palette.
A combination of clean motion graphics and bold colour played alongside more intricate detailed CGI animation. Although complex, to retain a sense of immersion it was important to retain a visual cohesion from the main stage through to the presentation area.
For the red carpet show, we took a closer look at the intricate details of this year’s award design. The approach intertwined the intimacy of the red carpet event with a detailed perspective of the award itself, creating a more intimate and immersive sequence.
