Seven Worlds One Planet
Presented by Sir David Attenborough, the landmark BBC series Seven Worlds One Planet reveals how each distinct continent has shaped the unique animal life found there. Over four years in the making with a wider team of more than 1500 people involved, the seven part series of films explains why the continents are as they are and what gives them their unique characteristics. It celebrates the diversity of life and natural history on each of the seven continents and comes at a time when the biodiversity of each is at its greatest.

The essential collaborative relationship with the series producers and production team allowed us to meticulously test, craft and experiment with new techniques and artistic aspirations across all aspects of the visual effects, series branding and creative approach. The sequences needed to integrate seamlessly into each film’s editorial to enhance the story, allowing the viewer to understand multiple aspects of the continents make up and life. Revealing extraordinary wildlife stories and unseen wilderness.

Millions of years ago incredible forces ripped apart the Earth’s crust creating our seven continents.
With remarkable stories of life at the extremes and surprising wildlife dramas hidden alongside us, the seven films arrive at a pivotal moment because we could be entering biodiversity’s fastest decline. This series is an entirely new way to look at the planet.

All sequences and shots were created using the very highest level of detail and techniques, along with gaining a full understanding of the subject matter. The sequences produced ranged from huge continent wide views and weather systems, to geological depictions of the formation of the Himalayas, Great Rift Valley and the Andes, to creatively visualising the story of the supercontinent, Pangea. At the heart of the work was the need to ensure that the series graphic, digital and visual effects had a unique identity, brand and visual style that was consistent and in keeping with a series of this calibre and importance, enhancing the storytelling in the most intelligent and accurate way.
