Secrets Of The Forest

This film follows ecologist Tom Crowther and global researchers as they explore how forest ecosystems help cool the planet and combat climate change. Our team created tactile, in-camera animated graphics, seamlessly integrated to convey complex data with a personal, human touch.

MAP DESIGN

The film required multiple data-driven map designs, animations, and artwork integrated seamlessly into the storytelling. These visuals provided instant clarity and accuracy within a short screen time, using layered textures like data, headlines, and key facts. Techniques such as focal pulling, lighting, and in-camera effects brought depth, while a consistent design approach ensured visual coherence across all graphic sequences.

PHOTOMONTAGES AND TREATMENT OF STILLS

A key part of the design was the treatment of photographic imagery, integrated into layered, crafted compositions to enhance storytelling. These montages combined personal history, past events, scientific data, and environmental imagery—always maintaining a filmic aesthetic that blended seamlessly with the visual language of the film.

INFOGRAPHICS

Infographic design played an integral role within the editorial, requiring immediate clarity when presenting complex scientific information. From sequences explaining photosynthesis to illustrating underground mycelium networks, the creative approach visually enhanced contributor insights through artistic portrayals, making the information both understandable and engaging.
