Open Planet
Open Planet is a unique new media asset library containing world-class footage and data visualisations showing how the planet is changing. All content is available open source, free for non-commercial use, empowering content-creators around the world to scale-up their communications and create the change needed to help restore our world.
The purposefully designed logo features rounded type with distinctive humanist qualities, and a powerful central icon that represents the need for urgent action to combat the climate crisis.
The circular form of the icon represents the planet, unity, community, friendship and wholeness. The radial lines become thinner as they revolve around the shape as an expression of time running out and our planet’s diminishing natural resources.
A flexible, nature-inspired colour palette represents the core values of Open Planet, projecting confidence, optimism and integrity with vibrancy and freshness.
